BL #9 Wear shorts in public.

hey there... it's been forever since the last time I posted here. I'd been into Tumblr lately coz I couldn't access blogspot easily on my cellphone. anyways, I am happy to be back and for now I am into updating my Bucket List.

I am happy to check that I already have some ACCOMPLISHED and partly Accomplished tasks on my bucket list. One of them is Wearing shorts in public. I am very sorry if I don't have a picture of it (definitely I am not that proud, lol). I still remember I just wore shorts because it was really super hot. Summer 2014 is I guess the hottest summer in the Philippines! as in! It was already a month ago (early May 2014), afternoon, me and Sean tagged along with my bro King and her girlfriend Farah. It was I guess a Sunday and he sent her to the bus terminal.

We decided to eat first at Jolibee Caedo, and while waiting for the food, me and Sean shopped some toys around Caedo.. so that's it. I guess I pretty accomplish BL #9(not really with flying colors, haha...) and it was not on the beach or resort... unintentionally but yet with no regrets.

we got lucy!

last December 17, our new car was delivered. we named her LUCY! It's a RED Automatic Mitsubishi Mirage Sedan. G4 GLS. it's huge... very spacious inside, even the trunk. i love that it has GPS and push buttoned doors (driver's and trunk) and push button ignition.

we had it blessed the following day at the Euphrasia church with Adrian, sir Lloyd and Rowell.

During the Academic-Admin Council meeting, it was proposed that our department, ICS will now be a college... College of Informatics and Computing Sciences (CICS).

It was also announced that the Executive Commitee has decided to assign me as the COLLEGE DEAN.

Mixed emotions.

Just like last year... I am overwhelmed and grateful.

OBE Seminar

Two Day Seminar (Jan 17-18, 2013) about Outcomes Based Education in Tagaytay with Rov, mam V and Grace at Tagatay International Convention Center.
   'twas great. learned a lot about OBE. Twas sponsored by PSITE. The training kit was a backpack (Samsonite, looks orig, hehe)... weather is superb! I really love the cold weather. The meals are great as well. Except the snacks, puro kakanin. Hehe. wagas din ang mga pics namin outside the venue with the dinos ekek. :D super hilig palang magpapicture nitong mga kasama ko. Wala pinapaligtas na moment!
    Since the venue was located close to the Casino, super nagyaya ako nung last day na magdrop by kami. Lahat kami first time namin, except tito Ato, our driver. Fun fun fun! Puro slot machines lang pero mega win ako. Happiness! Bawal ang picture taking inside the casino pero syempre deadma ang mga kasama ko. They had to capture my winning shot!

i'm so thankful that the All Saint/Souls' Day fell on two days before the weekends, which obviously gave us 4 days rest from work!!!! hurray!!! yipee to the max!!!

yes, i am so shallow for being this happy because me and adrian are wishing to have a vacation, as in kahit vacation-stay-at-home lang. with this,we can bond more with Sean, more me-time (when Sean is asleep) and catching up with our comfort "activities."

Comfort activities include: fb, twitter, reading blogs, playing ipad apps, movie marathon, malling and reading books!!!

i also want to declutter our room (not a comfort activity, haha!!!) but destressing for me... i'm an OC a little bit... a little bit compared to my mom but OC super to my friends... :D

Papa Tony

Today is my papa-in-law Mr. Antonio H. Melo's 62nd birthday. A very nice man with generous and understanding heart. He might possess the looks of a brave and strict military man, but even my sister-in-law would agree that he is the best Father-in-Law every gal could wish for! He cooks, he plays FB games, he plays with kids a lot... He loves going to malls and more cool stuff...

Sem's Last Day of Grad School

wow... I am so excited for this day... Last day of Grad school for this sem means no weekends at school till 3rd week of Nov. yipeeee!

Pot and Neng

Yesterday, October 6, was a multi-celebration for our family. Aside from its our moms' birthday (its their 60th), it is Pot and Neng's wedding day. Pot, Joseph, is my youngest bro-in-law and of course his lovely wife Neng, Lawrence. The ceremony was held at St. Therese (bucket list) church at Talisay, Lipa City. It was a very nice and solemn wedding. The weather cooperated. The choir with a singing priest was awesome.

I was assigned to distribute the flowers. I wasn't able to perform well coz, the 'abays' were already there when we arrived.

My dad and mom are one of the principal sponsors. Uman (Norman), Adrian's brother is the best man and their two childern was also part of the entourage. A lot of Adrian's relatives were there, nagmistulang Reunion... Ang saya...

Kakapagod nga lang ang baby Sean, though Yaya inay Nory was there, he always wants me, as in ayaw nya sa yAya pag im around. The good thing was, those who haven't seen me for a while thought that i lost some weight coz of Sean... Hmmm, i like that, hehe... Walang bawian... :D sulit ang pagod kapag ganyan ang mga comments (compliments)...

The reception was held at CAP, near Lipa Bus Terminal.... The place is nice, not that spacious though... Sobrang dami kasing dumating, as in, mukang nasa 200 ata yon. The program is so matagal, hehe... Probably gutom na most of us... Nagmoment ang in laws ko with their prepared messages (lalo na ang Papa), hehe... I love the part that they called our two moms to blow their cake candles... Part of the program din sila and the wedding dance... Dancing in the tune of  the tagalog version of "Grow Old with You."

I was also in-charge to usher the principal sponsors at the recption, kami ng aking bilas na si Syrill. Ok naman, medyo comfortable naman ako kasi ang mom and dad ko ay andun lang. Nakakatuwa din yong part na exhange gifts ang mga moms namin.

Research Forum

My first and hopefully not my last!

Today's Graduate Research Forum of CEAFACS is part of BatStateU's Foundation Day celebration. Aside from AGSEC, the EE, ECE and CpE departments joined forces to make this event a reality.

I am one of the presenters and my research is called ASMT. That's actually the system's name. The title of my study is AUTOMATED MEASUREMENT TOOL for GSM OUTDOOR RF SIGNAL.

Sounds heavy huh... Quite yes last 2005, but now I dont think so...

I'll post later the details...

my advanced (he actually requested for it, haha!) b-day gift for my bochoy is Dickie's Varsity Jacket. We bought this last August 25, 2012. more than two weeks before his actual bday (Sept. 11).

Unproductive day

I call this day "unproductive" coz, despite of the plans of working and finishing a lot of chores in the office, I ended up in our bedroom crying in pain. I just hope I get better soon.

Long weekend!

Today is the last day of the August long weekend! We didn't go out like what others did... We pretty much stayed at home and spent time with baby Sean... Yesterday, we shopped for some groceries and decided to watch The Expendables 2 and also had our pizza date while watching! The movie was great, I loved it!

My weekend/vacation was not that good 'coz I am bothered with some colleagues at work. I thought we already got rid of the ugaling bukids! Grrrr... I call those who are moody, matampuhin na wala sa lugar as ugaling taga-bukid. Sorry for the word! It's also very unprofessional!

What makes  me more upset is that I've wrote them a msg on FB and I didn't get a reply. Wow, it's like I've done such a big mistake and i am being punished? Hayyys... It's really very hard to put together work and personal relationships!
